MIAMI (CBSMiami) – As the saying goes, the show must go on…even when you’re under the national spotlight.
Despite the controversy surrounding the Miami Marlins player fiasco, the Marlins pledged long ago to do a lot on and off the field.
With the help of several sponsors Friday, the ball park gave away more than 1,000 Thanksgiving meals to South Florida families in need.
“It’s a good day for the Marlins. Today it’s what we are doing off the field for the community,” said the Marlins’ Alfredo Mesa.
